Competition Terms
The competition is open to participants aged 18 years or over except employees of EDRLL Ltd and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Entries must be submitted by 23:59 PST on 30/09/2024. After this date, no further entries will be permitted.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
The entrant must upload a video of their Night Sky story on their social media page and confirm the upload as an entry to the competition by filling out the entry form here: https://www.thenightsky.com/story-competition
Entrants must use the hashtag #NightSkyStory for discovery purposes.
The entrant agrees to allow EDRLL Ltd and The Night Sky to use the video entry in marketing and promotional materials.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation, or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. The promoter will notify entrants as soon as possible of any changes to the competition.
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The prize is as follows:
Flights, accommodation, and spending money for travel to Iceland, up to the value of $5,000. Details of trip times will be agreed upon with the prize winner to suit their schedule. A cash prize alternative of $5,000 will also be available.
We cannot guarantee visibility of the Northern Lights during the trip as certain weather conditions will need to be met. However, we will work with the prize winner to ensure optimum opportunities.
The Night Sky will choose a top 10 from the submitted stories, and the winner will be chosen by a random number generator from the top 10 on Tuesday, the 4th of October 2024.
We will notify the winner via email and/or DM on Instagram/Facebook/TikTok within 7 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
The promoter will notify the winner how the prize can be delivered
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Irish law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry.
