Our patented technology calculates the precise star map using data from the European Space Agency's Hipparcos satellite catalogue, then laser-engraves it onto a pendant with microscopic accuracy. Each piece is calculated using ESA Hipparcos satellite data, making it astronomically accurate and completely unique to your moment.
What metals is star map jewelry available in?
Sterling silver, 18k gold vermeil (sterling silver with a thick layer of 18-karat gold), 9k solid gold, and black onyx. All metals are recycled. Gold vermeil is our most popular choice, it has the warmth and colour of gold with the durability of sterling silver.
Will the engraving fade over time?
No. The star map is laser-engraved directly into the metal surface. It's permanent. Unlike printing or plating, laser engraving removes material to create the design, so it can't rub off, fade, or wear away with daily use.
What's the difference between pendant and bezel settings?
Our standard pendants are a flat disc with the star map engraved on the front. Bezel settings frame the disc in a protective metal surround, creating a more structured, finished look. Both use the same engraving quality and are available in the same metals.
Can I add a personal message to star map jewelry?
Yes. You can add a message, date, or coordinates to the reverse of the pendant. It's hidden from view but there when you turn the piece over, a private detail that only the wearer knows about.
